i finally bought my ticket back to new york. for some reason i'll doubt i'll ever understand (despite the four years i spent studying pricing schemes) tickets were way cheaper for friday than today or tomorrow, so i'm still hanging out in irmo. also, the jetta wouldn't start this morning so instead of living it up in brooklyn, i've been watching all sorts of tv. but i did see a confederate flag bumper sticker yesterday that said "if i had known this would happen, i would have picked my own cotton." it's almost too racist to comprehend. and while i was listening to music and browsing last.fm, i happened upon the guy i'm subleasing from's band (they're called MEN). turns out it's him and two of the people from le tigre. also turns out le tigre was started by kathleen hanna from bikini kill. despite how marginally michael (the guy i'm subleasing from) is related to bikini kill, i still feel a little bit cooler for living in his apartment.
